This was quite a captivating book and I don't usually read this genre. Taliesin Boone who is only 16 returns to her home town where her mother died when she was six years old. She finds out that she posses special powers that have been dormant since her mother's death when she was six years old. This story will grasp your attention right at the beginning and keep you page turning. Lots of surprises and twists. Fantasy with a mix of supernatural. She has to weigh a lot of decisions and also learn...
For Tally, living around and being one with horses is just part of her life in the last few years, since her mothers death. When she endures an attempted attack by a drunken son of a horse owner, which ends with the horse defending her and injuring her father in the process, everything in her world is turned upside down.Tally is asked to return to her hometown and live with her aunt, her mother's twin sister while her father is in the hospital, and when she starts heading back to the town, Tally...
I received a ARC and am voluntarily reviewing it.Wow, I really loved this book. Taliesin, Tally for short, is a person with a rare gift that she doesn't know about. She has been living with her dad, training racehorses. When an incident puts her dad into a coma, she goes to live with her aunt. She has been gone from her home town for the past 10 years, since a tradigy ended her mother's life and has haunted her since. She meets an energetic boy named Cord, who works for her aunt. He is just like...
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily and honestly reviewing it.Following an incident, Taliesin is sent to live with her aunt, and mother's twin. In Salem, she discovers what she is while navigating life as a teenager and wishing to go back and live with her father.Overall, I found the beginning to be a bit slow and a little difficult to get into, but once you do, it's a book that hooks you to the end. Not every character is likeable. The plot does have moments where it's a litt...
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Tally’s story was a bit different from other books I’ve read. I felt a mix of emotions while reading: sadness/sorrow, hope, a sense of romance and first love, magic, and intrigue, to name a few. I think the storyline was interesting and kept me engaged throughout. I think overall, the story was well written and decently paced. The characters were likeable and I enjoyed the Keltoi history. There were some small spots in the story where I...
Taliesin by Suzanne Redfearn is book 1 of a 3 part Celtic Soul Shifter Trilogy. Taliesin Boone is 16 years old and along with her father and adopted brother travel around and work with race horses. When her father is badly injured she's sent back to the town she was born in to stay with her aunt. For the last 10 years Tally has believed that she killed her mother but her story is more complicated than that. Realising that most of the town hates her, she just wants to get her father better so she...
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This was a great paranormal book that keep you on the edge of your seat. An awesome book!
I voluntarily reviewed this ARC Book. Great book, cannot wait for the next in the series. Tally thinks she is an ordinary teenager who lives with and works with race horses. After a tragedy, she is taken back to live with her Aunt. Salem New Hampshire home of World End and where Tally was born. Knowing little of what happened and what she did when she was young, she is shunned by the townspeople. Finding the power within to stand up and fight becomes urgent as Tally learns not only how to move p...
i loved this story about a girl name Taliesin, who is taken to live with her aunt while her father is unable to take care of her after a injury cause by a horse, well written and great characters.
book oneI'm an independent reviewer for Romance Authors That Rock.Taliesin has grown up with knowing she has done the worse thing anyone has ever done. Now it's just herself, her adopted brother, and her father.. but as it always happens in books shit hits the fan and Taliesin's life changes..(warning trigger.. but if you can get past it the book looks up from there). She gets anwsers to questions she didn't even know she had... going to live at her aunt's untill her father has recovered seamed
rcvd an arc for giving my two cents. i couldnt put this book down. i felt bad for tally in that everything seemed to crash down around her. she has felt guilty for the past 10 years that she killed her mother and now her father was in a coma and forced to go back to Salem to live with her aunt. she is different and always knew she was but when school rolls around, she is treated as such, ignored, ridiculed and talked about. tally doesnt remember much about her childhood there, but her memory is
Tally has a huge new secret and many lives are entwined while she's relearning from her past. I love the little love triangle that's waiting to happen. The ending I shed a few tears. I have to say, this one was a great start to a trilogy. I'm looking forward for book two. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
