This book was amazing and at every turn, something unexpected happened. By the end of the book, you have to learn to expect the unexpected. It was an amazing book and I had a lot of fun trying to figure out what they are searching for and where it is before Robert Langdon and Sophie Neveu. Overall this book was almost perfect. There were a few parts that you think that Dan Brown messed up on, but ended up tying into the story 200 pages later. If you don't pay attention to every detail you might
‘What if Leonardo Da Vinci hid the truth and secrets of Christianity in his famous painting “The Last Supper?”' Through this “what if” question, Dan Brown was able to write a memorable, exhilarating, and inquisitive introduction, and as these qualities intertwined with his characters and dramaticthemes, the novel truly becomes a page turner.
This book had so complex story structure that my mind only wandered between the arcaneness of the pages. It haunts your thoughts to the core of your being and I'm loving this state of mind. And the plot twists?!!...I just can't.
I loved the adult fiction version of this story. The YA adaption did have differences. I can't wait to write my review.Full review here: https://agingerlyreview.wordpress.com...I loved Dan Brown’s original version of The Da Vinci Code so I was very excited when I found out the story was being released for Young Adults. I tore through this book in no time, but it had me a little confused because this felt so much like the Adult Ficiton story.Robert Langdon is the leading authority on religious sy...
I really enjoyed finally reading this book. It is one I have wanted to read for a while. The book is very well written - the author is clearly knowledgeable in the subject of art and culture entwined with religion and I feel like there was a lot of interesting detail contained. The story is well known - but there is a brotherhood protecting the secrets of the Holy Grail, and all 4 members who know of its location are killed in one night. One of the men whilst dying manages to leave a cryptic mes...
I took this book with me on a vacation to the Belgian Coast. Given how big it is I thought it would keep me busy for at least a week. How wrong I was... This novel absolutely knocked me off my socks and I finished it within a couple of days. Not many times have I enjoyed a book as much as I enjoyed The Da Vinci Code. This, to me, is the perfect mystery story. It is such a page turner and the plot is one of the smartest I ever read.Like many others, I found myself reading up on the theories prese...
The Da Vinci Code is a book I really did enjoy for the simple fact that it is a book that exemplifies mystery and code solving. This book was indeed extremely engrossing with the way Dan Brown demonstrated the character’s way of thinking. Dan Brown did an excellent job portraying the character’s thoughts and actions while successfully illustrating it throughout the text. Brown used detailing to its finest by narrating what the scene looked like so the reader can fluently comprehend what was happe...
The Da Vinci Code delves into the relationship between the Christian Church and the world of Paganism. The story itself is a mystery surrounding the murder of a French curator of the Louvre. Not only is it a grippingly beautiful story, but through Robert Langdon's hunt through information of secret societies, legendary tales, and truths of the origins of Jesus Christ, I have learned a vast amount of knolwedge about the history of the catholic church, famous paintings, influencial characters in h...
A pageturner, absolutely! (Finished it within two days), but .. how many impossible impossible situations do the main characters end up in and in how many miraculous miraculous ways they get away with it again and again? It remains fascinating, but it’s also getting a little bit hilarious. It’s written in a very interesting setting indeed like organisations as The Priory of Sion, Opus Dei, The Templars and the historical role of the Catholic Church (although i can’t judge the degree of fact and f...
The Da Vinci Code is one of those books that you wish you were a part of the story. There are so many mysteries and secrets that all seem to lead to another, and it pulls you in and doesn't let go. Although it is fictional, it seems so real and makes you want to believe all the things that happen in this book. This is truly a book that you don't want to put down until your eyes get too heavy to keep open. Before you watch the movie, read the book. It truly supports the claim that "the books are
It's been years since I read the original Da Vinci Code, so I am not sure about specific details and plot twists, but when I read the Young Adult adaptation, it seemed very similar to the adult version. I would have to read them side by side to be able to tell what was left out and what was modified. Having said that, the Young Adult adaptation is perfect for teens who like action, mystery, suspense, and quite a bit of art history thrown into the mix. Recommended for gr. 7-12.
Well to be honest , I didn't liked it that much.. I mean it was super slow to begin with and lacked the pace that angels and demons gave me... But somewhere between like page 300 or so... It went super crazy good.. From then I was like whoa! Now that's what I was talking about! Story line - intriguing Plot - a bit messy but amazing Writing - slow at start but at the end as always ( mind blown)
This book was life changing. To me, more than a book. A piece of art, a story, a new point of view on life. This book had the just perfect amount of everything you can want in a book and is more than appropriate for all ages. I got this book as a gift and did not realize that it was the “Adapted for YA Version” so now I want to read the original! From other reviews I have read they are very similar so I think regardless they will be life changing novels. Highly Recommend! 🔍
I can't really remember this one but I like symbols and I have actually read this book more than once. It is a good read but with reading so many of his books I mix some. I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes symbols and that likes to be on the edge of their seat. (I do not remember when I read this book. )
This book is a very interesting read. The plot is elaborately structured, and has a lot of basis in reality. There is a good amount of suspence throughout and a very surprising end. Couldn’t put the book down until the end.
What!?! I loved, Loved, LOVED this book. I could not put it down and I was so mad at anyone trying to stop me. This story was incredible to read. It was fun to know that I've been to some places mentioned and know the actually layout. Everyone read this now.
I’ve always been obsessed with anything surrounding Leonardo Da Vinci, conspiracies, theories, his work, ANYTHING. So, I stumbled upon this book recently. However, the plots of this book are immaculate. Just wow! Loved it.
Such an interesting page-turner! Brown is researched and highly-intelligent, so, while this is a fiction novel, you learn about art and religion through out. I felt as if I were being let in on long-held secrets with each sentence.
Ugh, not a fan of any adaptation of this book. I get that everyone loves it. Not for me. The "facts" are trash. The story is decent but, I would prefer you not wrap it in this "based on real research" narrative.
I read this so many times that I destroyed my paperback and had to buy a hard-copy. My favorite Dan Brown novel.
The book that started the great adventures now in a young adult version. If you want mystery, suspense and adventure wrapped in historical content grab this.
Eye opening
This is an amazing book! I could not put this book down because it was such a good read! I recommend this to anyone who wants a good mystery and adventure.
Oh my god, i really don't know what to believe now...
Dan Brown's epic! Easy to reach by the young.Highly recommended
good book, kept me thinking every step of the way!
it was a good book
I read the original version years ago but it was fun to re-read with my son.
Great read!
I simply love all Dan Browns books. They are very addicted and you can hardly pause when reading.
